AI Development & Implementation Instructor

Pay: Hourly; rates differ for instructional hours and course preparation.

Employment: Part-time instructor / cohort-based

Schedule: 12-week certificate program; 2 classes per week

Work location: Remote. CCI is a fully online/ remote learning institute for post-secondary schooling.

Join our instructor team. Experienced AI implementation professional to help adult learners apply generative AI tools to real business workflows. Copper Canyon Institute offers career-focused, applied certificate training grounded in real employer needs. We are looking for a practitioner who enjoys helping students build skills they can demonstrate in the workplace.

What you will teach

· Prompt engineering, structured context, output quality evaluation and responsible generative AI use.

· Business-process mapping, workflow automation and practical integrations across tools.

· Design of AI assistants, retrieval/knowledge workflows and software/API integration fundamentals.

· Privacy, security, testing, human oversight and AI implementation roadmaps.

Key responsibilities

· Lead two engaging classes per week throughout a 12-week certificate cohort, using practical demonstrations, exercises and student discussion.

· Teach foundational concepts progressively and adapt explanations for adult learners with varied prior experience.

· Prepare or refine lesson plans, hands-on activities and assessments consistent with CCI program outcomes.

· Provide constructive feedback, track learner progress and coordinate with program leadership on instructional needs.

· Connect course material to realistic workplace scenarios, professional standards and current tools.

Required qualifications

· Hands-on experience deploying AI-enabled solutions in business operations or technical environments.

· Comfort demonstrating current generative AI platforms, automation tools and basic API/integration concepts.

· Substantial hands-on professional experience in the subject area and the ability to translate that experience into accessible instruction.

· Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills; patience working with beginners and career changers.

Preferred

· AI solution portfolio or implementation examples

· Dependable availability for a recurring twice-weekly teaching schedule over 12 weeks.

· Prior teaching, training, mentoring or workshop experience preferred; a degree is welcomed but practical expertise is highly valued.

Compensation and application

Compensation is hourly, with different rates for classroom instruction and course preparation. The applicable hourly rates and any compensated grading, meetings, or other duties will be confirmed during hiring.
