Front of House - Shift Lead

Job Summary:

The Front of House Shift Lead at Harriet’s Hamburgers is responsible for supervising and supporting the FOH team during their shift, ensuring excellent guest service, smooth operations, and adherence to company standards. This role combines leadership, customer service, and operational responsibilities to maintain a positive, efficient, and hospitable restaurant environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the front-of-house team during assigned shifts, ensuring high standards of guest service and operational efficiency.
• Open or close the restaurant according to company procedures.
• Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and daily operational tasks as assigned.
• Train, coach, and mentor FOH team members to promote skill development and growth.
• Ensure compliance with company standards in guest service, cleanliness, inventory, and team management.
• Handle guest issues promptly and professionally to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and management team to maintain smooth communication and workflow.
• Support cash handling, register operations, and financial accuracy during the shift.
• Monitor and maintain FOH cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in restaurant operations, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver outstanding service.
• Knowledge of front-of-house operations, cash handling, and customer service best practices.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic administrative tasks.
• Passion for hospitality, teamwork, and personal growth.
