Hair Stylist

**Job Overview**

As a Hair Stylist, you will bring creativity and care to each appointment. Your role involves consulting with clients, recommending services that match their preferences, and delivering polished results while maintaining a clean and welcoming salon environment. This position may also include supporting front desk tasks and assisting with retail sales. A valid South Carolina Cosmetology License is required.

**Duties**

Consult with clients about their goals, explain available service options, and maintain clear communication throughout each appointment. - Provide hair cutting, hair styling, and hair care services; nail care services may also be offered. - Your impact: Thoughtful consultations and consistent service will help clients feel confident and leave with styles tailored to their needs. - Sanitize tools and work areas between clients, follow safety practices, and keep appointment schedules and client records organized using the salon’s Point of Sale system. - Assist with front desk operations, retail sales, and product recommendations; provide mentoring when assigned.

**Skills**

Essential: A valid South Carolina Cosmetology License is required. - Strong customer service and communication skills are essential, along with knowledge of hair styling and sanitation practices.

Preferred: Experience in the beauty industry is beneficial. - Familiarity with hair cutting, hair styling, hair care, and nail care is advantageous. - Knowledge of salon software and front desk workflows is helpful. - Experience in retail sales, upselling, retail math, store management, and mentoring is valued, although not all are required.

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
