Responsibilities

• Assist with menu planning to develop appealing and nutritious meal options tailored to diverse dietary needs
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of taste, presentation, and food safety
• Handle food with care, following proper sanitation procedures to maintain hygiene standards across all kitchen activities
• Support food service operations by serving meals efficiently and courteously to guests or residents
• Contribute to catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality control
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas through regular cleaning and organization
• Demonstrate excellent knife skills and culinary techniques to enhance meal presentation and flavor profiles

Requirements

• Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
• Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within the food industry or restaurant settings
• Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety regulations
• Experience with fine dining or catering environments is a plus
• Proficiency in kitchen skills such as knife handling, food plating, and portion control
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
