Description
Production Shift Supervisor for a modern gray and ductile iron foundry. Lead and coordinate daily production to ensure safe, efficient operations and timely delivery of high-quality castings.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce strict safety standards and maintain a safe working environment.
- Direct and schedule operators; support staffing, teamwork, and reliable performance.
- Monitor equipment condition and process performance to protect throughput and casting quality.
- Respond promptly to issues impacting safety, productivity, or product quality.
- Support training and cross-training to strengthen skills and operational flexibility.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance processes and performance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop team members.
- Solid understanding of production operations, quality expectations, and safety practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot and make sound decisions under changing shop conditions.
- Experience supervising or coordinating manufacturing teams and processes.
